IDEAS FOR DADS...

Ideas For Dads was a website for modern fathers. It was a resource for busy dads to make the most of their time with their children. Each episode featured an easy, affordable and enjoyable idea for men to try with their children. A new idea was described, with easy-to-follow instructions, suggestions on expanding the ideas and discussion about the activity.

Activities ranged from cities made out of cardboard boxes, daily activity cards and sumo wrestling. The idea was to encourage busy men to spend time with their children and show them that it only takes a little idea to make a big difference.

Ideas for Dads delivered ideas that can be used by fathers, mothers, grandparents and care-givers alike.

Ideas for Dads was road-tested by myself with my own children. It wasn't a discussion on advocacy or rights for fathers. It was not a multi-step programme that needed to be followed religiously. Ideas for Dads was simply a quick and easy resource for fathers who struggled to find the time to spend with their children.
